Teaching Practice Week 6
On the second day of this week I had no substitution period on first period and I was doing my works. I got a substitution on second period for 10C and I asked them to do problems from the chapter Circles. On third period, I went to 8 C . It was an ICT based classroom. I used laptop to show the pictures of some quadrilaterals. Students identified all those pictures and responded well. I completed a lesson plan and gave them a follow up activity. Also I asked to submit their notebooks for correction. The students co-operated well. After the lunch break, on sixth period, I got a substitution on 8C and completed my lesson plan. We left the school at 4:00 pm.
3/01/2023 to 6/01/2023
Day 1
Today was the first day of the sixth week of our teaching prace. In second period, I got an opportunity to take substitution in 7E standard and conducted some activities related to simple maths tricks. In third period, I have class in 8C and discussed textbook questions and gave them a follow up activity. In fourth period, I have free period. Then after the lunch break as part of peer observation, I went to 8th standard to observe Arya teacher's class and noted the pros and cons of her class.
On the third day we reached on time.We have substitution period on 7D. Me along with Gayatri take responsibility to handle those students in computer lab.In the afternoon session i have period on 8C.Last two periods was free. So i completed my remaining works.At 3:45 pm we left the school campus.
The fourth day of this week started with prayer. I had no substitution for the first two periods. So I engaged with updating my blog. In third period, I went to 8C and completed a lesson plan. In fourth period, I went to 6E and conducted a dictation. Students were well interested and participated actively. Today, we got the duty to serve the meal during lunch break. In fifth period, I went to 9B and asked them to complete their pending notes. Later, me and Gopika went to 9D to observe Sivakami's class as part of our peer observation. She interacted with the students in a good manner. We left the school at 4:00 pm.
The last day of this week started with a special morning assembly. I was very happy to be able to sing the prayer at the assembly. HM announced the state level Kalolsavam winners. In third period, I completed a lesson in 8C. At 11am, on 9C, I took a revision class. I got a substitution in 8C. I completed a lesson plan and discussed the textbook questions. On last period, I went to 9B and asked them to do the activity problems. We left the school at 4:00pm.
